PM Shehbaz Sharif promises to end terrorism in Pakistan and fully supports the military in keeping the country safe and secure.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has recently given a firm promise to oppose terrorism effectively in Pakistan. He has promised to provide the military with anything they require to fight this threat. This is a necessary action to save the people of Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif: A Strong Commitment to Fight Terrorism
PM Shehbaz Sharif made a clear statement about eradicating terrorism in the country. He said, “There is no place for terrorism, it must be stopped now, the military shall be given all the support it requires.” This statement shows his readiness to protect and provide security for the people of Pakistan.
Condemning Violence in Balochistan
Prime Minister has criticised the attacks that occurred in the Balochistan region. Many people are facing struggles due to terrorism. He said that the terrorism going on in Balochistan is much worse and cannot be tolerated. He also stated that some terrorists are also planning to start disturbances between Pakistan and China which is another issue faced by the country.
This may lead to increased tension in the region, threatening renewed diplomatic tensions and negatively impacting economic relations which have been steadily improving between the two countries. Based on intelligence reports, these groups are working on pre-existing grudges to cause tension between the two nations and also targeting to disrupt peace initiatives throughout South Asia. Governments must keep these threats in mind and intensify their cooperation efforts not to let radical groups seize the positive trends observed in the years previous years.
Shehbaz Sharif: Negotiations with Groups Respecting the Pakistani Constitution
PM Shehbaz Sharif was also clear in his message that unlike previous governments the current government is willing to negotiate. But they are not going to negotiate with any group which does not recognize the constitution of Pakistan. He stated that no negotiations would take place with enemies or terrorists. This means that although the government is open to dialogue, it will not negotiate the security and integrity of the nation.
Federal Cabinet Assembles to Discuss National Security
These strong statements were made in a federal cabinet meeting presided over by the former Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif. The cabinet discussed many factors which included national security and the rising incidence of terrorism.
The last agreement reached was that it was high time to establish a single system of propaganda that would help to fight manipulations and spread the visions of peace and togetherness. This established that there is a need for positive action to protect the public confidence in national security measures which helps to protect society against all elements that seek to split it.
Recent Attack in Balochistan
There have been several acts of violence recently in Balochistan in various districts. One of the major sabotage events that took place was the blasting of the Dozan railway bridge in the Bolan Valley. This was a very important bridge as it bridged Balochistan with other provinces of the country like Sindh and Punjab. This has made it difficult for people to move around as well as goods to be transported thus enhancing the isolation of the province.
The other massacre occurred in the Musakhail district. In this 23 passengers of a bus were pulled out of the vehicle and executed. The Kalat district also came under attack and 10 people including security forces and civilians were killed.
In reaction to these attacks, they were able to neutralize 21 potential terrorists and prevent an attack in the Lasbela area. Such actions indicate that the military is not idle in its efforts to safeguard the lives of the people of Pakistan and discourage violence.
