Pakistani singer Aima Baig is planning to start Pakistan’s #MeToo movement. She aims to prevent cheating and other evil acts to help women. This action was taken after her latest Umrah trip which she explained gave her the courage to decide.
A Life-Changing Spiritual Experience
Aima Baig also narrated her Umrah pilgrimage and said that the journey improved her spirit to fight for the vital issues women of Pakistan are facing.
She also mentioned the effect of this spiritual path in a set of IG stories. “I needed Umrah. Performing Umrah was peaceful. I am stronger now because I realise that I have to do it for the betterment and Empowerment of our country’s women” she stated.
Aima disclosed that she knows many wolves and cheaters manipulating young and old ladies. At the start, she decided to remain silent because of many things. She also said that she wished she had the guts at that time to speak about that all.
Aima Baig Taking a Stand Against Predators
Cheating and exploitation of women are prevailing in society, according to Aima Baig’s statements. She complained, stating “It has become like a norm for people to cheat and it is funny that men can use women for their nonsense weakness, and decency.”
Later in a different post, Aima Baig declared her intention to start MeToo in Pakistan. Her intention in starting that program was to declare respect for boundaries that every woman should have. “I have witnessed it too much around me. Women are not a joke, we gave you existence and you should respect it,” she said.
Calling Women to Take Action
Aima Baig understands that she has the power to make a change within the entertainment industry. She encouraged women to fight against what she referred to as a continuous joke that men indulge in. She described the mental and physical torture that young, innocent women get exposed to as a result of exploitation.
There is a need for some kind of cultural shift and this is exactly what Aima’s announcement ignited the Pakistani society. She intends to encourage women to refuse offensive behaviour and fight for the respect they need in relationships.
Since Aima Baig has begun her #MeToo movement in Pakistan to fight against cheating. Her stand for the rights of women, and accepting such serious matters is a step towards changing society. Aima touches the hearts of everyone when she calls everyone to rise and stand up for themselves whenever they witness injustice.
