President Joe Biden appeared wearing a hat from his ‘arch-nemesis’ Donald Trump’s election campaign. The American audience regarded it as a bizarre scene. The gesture attracted significant media attention, especially among supporters of the Republican presidential candidate.

On Wednesday evening, Biden briefly donned a promotional hat from Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign during an event at a fire station in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. This location is significant as it is where United Flight 93 crashed on September 11, 2001.

The White House stated that Biden’s gesture was intended to show “unity” on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks. White House spokesperson Andrew Bates explained that Biden visited the center to mark the 23rd anniversary of the attacks and to emphasize national unity.

During this visit, as a “friendly” gesture, Biden presented a hat to one of Trump’s supporters, who responded by suggesting that Biden should wear a Trump hat. Biden then wore the hat for a brief period.

The image of Biden quickly spread on Twitter, with some users posting it and the Trump campaign responding on the platform “X” with a sarcastic “Thanks for the support, Joe!”

Many people linked this visit to the debate between Trump and Kamala Harris the day before, with some speculating that the reason behind Biden’s actions was Kamala Harris’s poor performance, to the extent that Biden felt compelled to wear a Trump hat.
