According to media reports, there was a shooting on Sunday night outside the Vancouver, Canada, home of Punjabi singer and rapper AP Dhillon. The Canadian musician, who was born in India, thanked his supporters and gave them assurances about his safety on Tuesday. “I’m secure. My folks are secure. We are grateful to all those who got in touch. Your help is greatly appreciated. “To everyone, peace and love,” he posted on Instagram Stories.

According to reports citing sources, gunshots were heard close to his house in the British Columbian island of Victoria, and Rohit Godara—a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang—has purportedly taken responsibility for the incident.

Remarkably, the attack happened barely a few weeks after Salman Khan and AP Dhillon’s music video, “Old Money,” was released. According to a threat message making the rounds on social media, the gang shot people on September 1 at two different locations in Canada: one in Woodbridge, Toronto, and the other on Victoria Island.
In addition, the group threatened AP Dhillon, saying that he would “meet a ‘dog’s death’ if he does not stay within his limits,” referring to his purported connections to Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
