Mattel Collaborates with Nokia to Launch Barbie Flip-Phone

HMD Global (makers of nokia phones) in collaboration with Mattel is introducing the Barbie Flip Phone, a homage to the iconic pink device, created to help users grab an essence of the Barbie lifestyle while cutting down screen time. The following device launched on Wednesday, is designed to zoom in on key mobile functions like calling and texting cutting out the internet access or social media apps.

Furthermore, It features a fashionable form factor with a front mirror for on-the-go touch-ups and Easter eggs, including a “Hi Barbie” voice message upon firing up the device. It’s really the stylish way to disconnect from the digital world.

However, Already on sale in the U.K. for £99 ($130.74), U.S. consumers will be able to get their hands on the Barbie Flip Phone this October.

The Barbie Flip Phone isn’t all about the nostalgia

There are some fun extras to really complete the experience. According to HMD, the device will have swappable covers, accessories, and a Barbie-themed beaded strap to really round it off.
