Mohsin Abbas Haider & Omair Rana on Coping with Child Loss

Omair Rana and Mohsin Abbas Haider are two of the most popular actors from Punjab in Pakistan. Both have had a landmark performance in the entertainment industry through their splendid performance in different hit movies. Omair has done Pyar Ke Sadqay and Ishq Murshid and people love him for his work in the drama Siyani and Mohsin has worked in Siyani and Meri Guriya. Nevertheless, besides career achievements, both actors have a very personal and sorrowful experience – the death of their baby.

A few days ago, both of the actors participated in Madeha Naqvi’s morning show, Subh Ka Samaa and shared how both of them have faced mortal tragedies. It was a raw and tear-jerking discussion where both the participants opened up about the loss they went through and how they dealt with / got over such an unbearable loss.

Mohsin Abbas Haider on Losing His Daughter, Veenu

Mohsin Abbas Haider sent heartfelt feelings when he talked about the time he received his first child, Veenu. Speaking to the media, Mohsin said that he was so happy when he became a father adding that he got a message as he was shooting for a drama in Karachi. He also talked about how his friend and director Ali Hassan faked happiness like him as they both became happy when there was the birth of Veenu.

Despite the fear of losing, Mohsin immediately prepared for travel and rushed home to have his first sight of the daughter. He said it was like a dream come true and the most memorable experience of his life. “It was the first time in my life that I knew what happiness meant,” he recollects the very moment of becoming a father. Mohsin said, “Today I have found the true purpose of my life,” when he first set his eyes on Veenu. But his happiness did not last long and his daughter died after one month of her birth.

As a father, Mohsin expressed and suffered the loss of a daughter, but it is also important to consider his beliefs. “Maybe Allah wanted her more after she died,” he stated, being very composed and strong in dealing with such a loss. His words resonated with the audience, giving the viewers an insight into the deep sorrow he has had to endure ever since losing Veenu.

Omair Rana’s Moving Story With His Twin Babies

Omair Rana, one of the most calm and composed celebrities, also opened up about the heartbreaking incident of losing his twins. What he remembered were the painful moments after their death; he said that he buried his twins personally, which was the worst thing in his life. In the interview, Omair Rana had to explain that he was staying away from twins after they died because he had to bury them himself. His sorrow was very evident as he narrated the events that led to the burial of the dear one.

The most touching moment of the story was when Omair Rana recalled one of the worst moments in his life – when he buried his twins. This was why he recalled that, during the grave, he saw one of the twin’s toes protruding from the casket. “I adjusted it,” replied Omair Rana, his voice full of emotion, which made him recall this scene to this very day.

However, Omair Rana said that, at least, he and his wife, Maira, tried to console themselves using the religion that they practice. When Maira’s father recently died they thought that their twins were joined with their grandfather in Jannat (Heaven). “We were quite peaceful because we instantly knew that they are with their nana now,” Omair said, about the role of faith in dealing with the loss.
