Hasan Ayaz of Pakistan won the country’s pride on Sunday by defeating his Indian opponent in the Colleyville Open Squash 2024 final.
Third-seeded Ayaz defeated Yash Bhargava 3-1 to grab the championship.
Ayaz, who won the first game, lost the second to Bhargava, pulling off a victory. Anyways, Ayaz rallied and won the remaining two games and added another trophy on his shelf and to his career.
Ayaz won 11-6, 8-11, 11-3 and 11-8.
Top seed Ahsan Ayaz had earlier beaten Ireland’s Denis Gilevskiy in the second round and Malaysian Yee Xian Siow in the semifinals.
Furthermore, since his comeback from the injury Ayaz had picked up his fifth title .
The Colleyville Open Squash Tournament had a total prize money purse of $3,000.
